结跏趺坐

结跏趺坐
(結跏) The Buddha's sitting posture with legs crossed and soles upward, left over right being the attitude for subduing demons, right over left for blessing, the hands being placed one above the other in similar order. Also, said to be (sa) paryaṅkabandha, or (sa) utkuṭukāsana, sitting on the hams like ascetics in meditation.
